Red Cross Blood Drive Held Wednesday At Elgin Public Gym

It's the season of giving and what better thing to give than the gift of life.

There will be a blood drive at the Elgin High School Gym on December 16 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. 

According to the American Red Cross, there is often a greater need for blood donations this time of year when holiday festivities, severe weather and seasonal illnesses can keep regular donors from giving.

The Red Cross encourages eligible donors to be part of something meaningful this holiday season by giving blood to hospital patients in need.
