Pope John, St. Boniface Students Raise $1,710 For Pilger

The Pope John and St. Boniface Elementary Schools joined forces to support the Pilger Relief Effort.  

Four teams competed in a cash war to raise funds for the tornado-stricken community of Pilger. The students raised a total of $1,710, which will go directly to the Community Development Committee in Pilger. Top money raisers were the members of the St. Francis House and the 5th and 6th graders who are shown in the photo. 

Instead of home rooms, this year, the Pope John junior high and high school students meet each morning in “Houses.”  

Each House is made up of about 20 students from various grades. Students from the same family are in the same House. They selected names of Patron Saints for their House and their own student leaders.   House Deans (Faculty) are assigned to each House.   

The grade school students occasionally join with the High School Houses for community service projects, such as for the Pilger Relief Effort.  

1st - St. Francis House and 5th & 6th Graders:  $ 560.39

2nd - St. Gonzaga House and Pre-K & Kindergarten classes:  $ 439.33

3rd - St. Joshua House and 3rd & 4th Graders:   $375.27

4th - St. Isidore House and 3rd & 4th Graders:  $ 335.01
