PJ Students Attend 'March For Life' In Washington, D.C.

Seventeen students from Pope John attended the March for Life held in Washington, D.C. last week.  

They marched in protest of Roe V. Wade - which legalized abortion 42 years ago. The Pope John students and thousands of other students from across the nation joined with other protesters and filled the National Mall. It is estimated that over 200,000 people marched in the protest. 

PJ students attending the March were:  Morgan Childers, Zach Eischeid, Brie Gossman, Regan Kerkman, Jon Meis, Baylie Schiltmeyer, Karissa Dicke, Lexie Heithoff, Scott Moser, Whitney Walker, Gracie Bullock, Shantel Preister, Maddie Dilly, Sydney Kerkman, Calli Krebs, Lizzy Mlnarik, Cameron Nielsen. and Cole Preister.  Their sponsors were Terry Reicks, Kay Preister and Steve Kerkman.   

During the 6 day trip, students had a full schedule of activities in addition to the March for Life. They visited Gettysburg National Park, prayed outside an abortion clinic at the German Town Reproductive Clinic, toured the Holocaust Museum, Smithsonian Museum, and had Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, as well as numerous other activities.
