Oktoberfest Organizers 'Amazed By Generosity' For Event

The 2nd annual St. Boniface Oktoberfest celebration was held Saturday evening at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Elgin.

Revelers from the community and the surrounding areas came together to enjoy a night of good food, drink, music, and company while benefitting St. Boniface Elementary school.

Those attending the festivities enjoyed a meal featuring authentic German fare, a large selection of craft German beer, an array of silent auction items, games, photo booth, and the music of Nebraska’s premier polka band, The Kava’s.

Organizers were thrilled once again with the support from sponsors and attendees.

​“We continue to be amazed by the generosity of those here in the parish as well as those from surrounding communities,” said Lindy Borer, one of the event organizers. “It’s wonderful to be able to come together and have a good time, all while supporting one of our schools.”
