The Lady Wolfpack defeated both opponents, Chambers/Wheeler Central and Clearwater-Orchard, in straights sets. EPPJ won its first match, 25-19 and 25-18, over CWC. In the final game of the night, the Lady Wolfpack topped the Lady Cyclones, 25-15 and 25-12. "O-C played a very good team tonight," Cyclone Coach Shelly Mlnarik said. "EPPJ has a lot of weapons and we struggled to get them stopped. The girls worked hard to the end." Selting pounded down 10 kills for EPPJ in the match. "They pushed hard to make that five in a row. We had some really good serves tonight and our hitters did a nice job of finding the gaps and holes!" Clearwater-Orchard will travel to Bassett on Friday for a JV and Varsity dual against North Central. JV action will begin at 4:30 p.m. and varsity is set for 5 p.m. EPPJ's next matches will be at home Tuesday as they host a triangular with Neligh-Oakdale and Riverside. |
