Lady Wolfpack Splits Matches In Home Triangular Tuesday

Liz Selting goes over the block as teammates Taylor Schumacher, Jenna Parks, Hayley Stamp and Baylee Wemhoff cover.

Elgin Public/Pope John went 1-1 in their home triangular Tuesday night.

The Lady Wolfpack downed Humphrey St. Francis in two straight sets, 25-17 and 25-16.

Liz Selting led EPPJ's hitters with 12 kills, while Jenna Parks and Jenni Seier each added six.

In their second game, the Lady Pack attempted to upset undefeated St. Mary's, winning the first set of the match, 25-22. 

The loss fueled St. Mary's as they went on to win the next two sets, 25-7 and 25-8. The Lady Wolfpack had a balanced attack against St. Mary's with Selting, Parks and Seier each with six kills. Selting and Jordan Mescher each recored two ace serves in the match.

EPPJ, now 16-3 on the season, will travel to Clearwater on Thursday for a double triangular with Clearwater-Orchard, Wausa and Chambers/Wheeler Central. The Lady Wolfpack will play CWC at 7 p.m. and take on O-C at 8 p.m.
