Fangman Earns 100th Career Wrestling Win For Wolfpack

Wolfpack senior, Andrew Fangman earned his 100th career wrestling win Saturday at the Howells-Dodge invite.

The 170 pounder went 5-0 for the day pinning all five of his opponents. Fangman pinned Mason King of Stanton in 2:54, Wade Metzler of Oakland-Craig in 34 seconds and Codey Snider of Clearwater-Orchard in 56 seconds.

Fangman's 100th win came against Anthony Stephan of Millard South. According to coach Doug Jones, it was a hard match lasting two rounds. Fangman was caught in a head lock in the first round, but escaped and pinned Stephan in 2:40.

"It was a pretty tough match," Jones said, "You have to earn it."

For the championship round, Fangman faced off with Alex Widler of Clearwater-Orchard, pinning Widler in 1:34. 

Jones said 100 wins was quite an accomplishment for Fangman.

"It took a lot of time to get there," Jones said.
