Elgin Public Homecoming King And Queen Crowned

Homecoming in Elgin started with Pope John's coronation on Sunday and now Elgin Public has their king and queen.

Kenny Bush and Baylee Wemhoff were crowned homecoming royalty Wednesday evening in a ceremony in Elgin.

The 2016 Elgin Public king candidates were:

At Elgin Public, the school is having various dress-up days, with classes earning points for having the most students dressed up. Their is also a best-dressed competition each day at lunch. The schedule for Elgin Public is:
Monday - American Day
Tuesday - Beach Day for the high school students and Twin Day for elementary students
Wednesday - Weight Lifter Wednesday for the high school students and Wacky Wednesday for the elementary students
Thursday - Class Color Day. Each class should wear their chosen colors.

                              - Sophomores - Orange
                              - Freshman - Camo
                              - 8th Grade - Black
