Twenty-two members of the Elgin FFA Chapter participated in the FFA Leadership Development Events District Competition in Valentine on Wednesday.

The Elgin FFA Chapter placed 3rd in the Leadership Skills Events (LSE) Competition. Several members were also state qualifiers and alternates.

District Results:

Creed Speaking: Marie Meis, 1st Place State Qualifier; Taralyn Baum, 3rd Place State Alternate; Nikki Payne, Blue Ribbon

Cooperative Speaking: Karissa Dicke, 2nd Place State Qualifier; Ethan Fischer, 3rd Place State Alternate

Natural Resource Speaking: Alois Warner, 2nd Place State Qualifier, Austin Miller, Blue Ribbon

Jr. Public Speaking: Elizabeth Selting, 3rd Place State Alternate, Zoey Bergman, Blue Ribbon

Sr. Public Speaking: Dylan Widger, 3rd Place State Alternate

Extemporaneous Speaking: Jon Meis, Blue Ribbon

Job Skills Interview: Trey Baum, Blue Ribbon; Kyle Heithoff, Blue Ribbon
