Class Of 2008 Wins PJ Alumni Basketball Tournament

Winners of the Pope John Alumni Basketball Tournament were: (front row, l-r): Evan Parks, Tony Selting and Spencer Heying; and (back row) Ryan Luettel, Dean Veik, Andy Starman, Jay Reicks and Mark Moser.

The Pope John Alumni Basketball Tournament was held last weekend at the St. Boniface gym in Elgin. 

The class of 2008 finished in first place. Team members were: Ryan Luettel, Dean Veik, Andy Starman, Jay Reicks, Mark Moser, Evan Parks, Tony Selting and Spencer Heying.

Brian Selting was the champion of the 3-point contest. Eight teams competed in the tournament, finishing the championship round on Saturday evening. 

Combined classes of 2009 and 2013 took second place. Third place went to the team of 2004, 2001 and faculty.
