Wisner-Pilger Senior Killed In Accident Near Clearwater

A senior at Wisner-Pilger has been identified as the victim of a fatal car accident near Clearwater early Sunday morning.

According to officials, Jayda Oligmueller, 18 of Pilger, was a front seat passenger in the vehicle and was ejected from the vehicle and then impacted by the vehicle, causing fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other occupants, Alyssa Meyer, 18, of Wisner and Jodi Fry, 18, of Ewing were transported to Antelope Memorial Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released. 

According to the Antelope County Sheriff's Department, a 911 call was received at 12:04 a.m. about a rollover at the curve of 515 1/2 Ave and 851 Rd. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on 851 Rd and due to foggy conditions, the driver failed to observe the approaching curve. 

The vehicle left the roadway and began to roll. According to the Sheriff's Department, seatbelts were not in use by the occupants. 

The accident remains under investigation by the Antelope County Sheriff's Department with assistance by the Neligh Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol. 

An autopsy has been requested by the Antelope County Attorney's Office.
