Where And How Would You Like Clearwater To Grow?

The Village of Clearwater is seeking community input on housing, future land use and economic development funds as it continues working on a plan that will serve as the roadmap for the next 10 years.

The next meeting is set for Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Clearwater Fire Hall for discussion on several topics, along with and a hands-on activity on future land uses.

Also on tap is discussion on how to move forward with economic development funds that have been collected since LB 840 passed in 2011. The fund has about $100,000, and the committee will be seeking input on how the community wants to utilize it, whether it be by seeking new businesses or companies in Clearwater or other opportunities. 

Members of the LB 840 committee are Regina Krebs, Jarod Bearinger, Rod Schlecht, Amy Ahlers, Michelle Stearns, Francis Hanzlik and Carol Thiele.  

Miller and Associates, a Kearney-based Consulting and Engineering firm, has partnered with the Village to develop the plans, which will take the community into 2026.
