Two Cyclone Victories; Boys Place First In Tournament

It was a successful night for the Clearwater-Orchard basketball teams as they competed on their home court for the holiday tournament.

The boys team took on Chambers Wheeler Central in the championship game of the tournament. The Renegades and Cyclones were close in the first quarter of the game, but the Cyclones pulled ahead, leading by 14 points at halftime.

The Cyclones rounded out the game with a 72-57 victory over CWC. This leaves the team with a 6-2 season record. 

The girls team placed third in the tournament after knocking off Ewing 48-37.  Junior Kinzly Macke led the team in points with 11. The girls are now 3-6 for the season.

Up next, the teams will face the Plainview Pirates on January 5th.
