Today Is Deadline For Clearwater Rodeo Queen Applications

The Clearwater Rodeo is just one week away, and today (Friday, June 20) is the deadline for queen applications.

The queen competition is Friday, June 27, at 3:30 p.m. It is limited to the first 10 entries received. The Clearwater Rodeo will be Friday-Sunday, June 27-29, at the rodeo arena on the west edge of Clearwater.

Queen candidates must be age 14 or older as of June 20, 2014. The application includes information on the candidate's background, riding experience, awards, honors and future plans. A photo must be included with the application.

Queen candidates will meet at the rodeo arena for the riding competition. An oral interview will follow at the L Bar B Lounge. Crowning of the 2014 Clearwater Rodeo Queen will be before the rodeo performance on Friday, June 27.
