Thiele, Macke Earn 4 Gold Medals; O-C Girls Are Runner Up

Kylie Thiele and Kinzly Macke had the "Midas Touch" at the St. Edward Track Invitational last week as they each brought home gold medals in all four of their events.

Thiele crossed the finish line first in the 400 and 800, while Macke won the 100 and the 200. They both ran legs on the winning 4x400 and 4x800 relays, along with Mallory Cooper and Alexis Pokorny.

"The St. Ed Track Meet was different than any other track meet this year," Coach Shannon Schumacher said. "It started with an hour and a half rain delay, then they decided to cancel all field events so that the meet could get going and hopefully done before the storm hit again."  

"The kids competed great in the events that we were able to do," he said. "The Lady Cyclones brought home 6 golds and the runner up plaque."
