Strong Second Quarter Not Enough For Clearwater-Orchard

A strong second quarter by the Cyclones was not enough to hold off the Bulldogs on Friday night.

After a scoreless first quarter, Clearwater-Orchard was able to put together some successful drives that resulted in touchdowns in the second quarter.

Zach Martin connected with Spencer Volden and Andy Kerkman for two passing touchdowns, and Orlando Roman kicked in an extra point. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family scored one touchdown in the second, giving the Cyclones a 13-6 advantage at the half. 

Neither team could find the end zone in the third quarter, so the score remained 13-6 heading into the final quarter.

Clearwater-Orchard wasn't able to get their offense going and allowed two touchdowns on defense. The Bulldogs cruised to a 20-13 victory.

The 0-2 Cyclones will host 1-1 Burwell next Thursday.
