What activities did you participate in while in high school? Quiz Bowl, Basketball, SkillsUSA, and 4-H.
What is your favorite memory of high school? Quiz Bowl meets with Mrs. Cronin.
What advice can you offer underclassmen? Put in a good effort early, it will matter later when applying for scholarships and colleges.
What are your future plans (college with major if known or workforce) and where do you hope to be in five years? My personal goals and future career aspirations are to graduate high school, graduate from Northeast Community College with my associates degree in biology. Then continue my studies at South Dakota State University and graduate with a bachelor’s degree in fisheries biology. I aspire to e on the Dean’s list at both schools. I would like to work for the state of Nebraska or South Dakota as a full-time fisheries biologist. At South Dakota State University, I would like to do work study with the state government and learn more about what being a fisheries biologist entails. I can do this through summer internships to gain experience in my chosen career field. Lastly, I will apply for government sponsored positions in fisheries biology in either Nebraska or South Dakota.
