No. 6 Cyclones Fall To Boyd County At NVC Girls Tournament

The sixth-seeded Clearwater-Orchard girls basketball exited the Niobrara Valley Conference basketball tournament Monday after a tough game with No. 3 Boyd County.

The Cyclones dropped a 62-39 decision in the late game at Bartlett. Earlier in the evening, No. 2 Chamber/Wheeler Central defeated No. 7 West Holt 54-43.

Orchard will host the girls semifinals on Thursday with consolation and championship games taking place at West Holt on Saturday.

The Cyclone boys will be in action Tuesday at Clearwater. The top-seeded Cyclones will play No. 8 West Holt at 6:15 p.m.
