![]() Clearwater-Orchard traveled to Bassett on Friday to take on North Central. The Lady Cyclones battled their way to a 3-2 win over the Lady Knights. Clearwater-Orchard won the first two sets, 25-13 and 25-21. The third set went into extra points and eventually went to North Central, 27-25. The Lady Knights used that set to fuel a win in set four, 25-18, to force a fifth set. The Lady Cyclones went on to win the final set. "The girls played a hard-fought battle," Coach Shelly Mlnarik said. "The Cyclones played great ball getting the first two games. North Central played well the third game, but the Cyclones didn't go down without a fight! The fourth games we struggled putting our game together, but the fifth game, the girls found new life and played some really good volleyball!" Leading the attack for the Lady Cyclones was junior Mallory Cooper with 16 kills, followed by Kinzley Macke with 11 and Briana Stelling with 10. Tough serving by Stelling and Peyton Clifton, each with 2 aces, also helped the offensive efforts. Click here for complete game stats.
