Lady Cyclones Receive Fifth Consecutive Win At West Holt

Thursday was a good night on the court for the Clearwater-Orchard volleyball girls as they travelled to take on West Holt and Elkhorn Valley.

Up first against Elkhorn Valley, the team had a solid win in 2 sets, 25-14 and 25-15. The Cyclones put down 23 kills, 11 by senior Mallory Cooper. The team had 5 serving aces, 3 from freshman Grace Rittscher. Senior Katie Funk picked up 11 of the teams 35 digs.

In the second match against West Holt, the Cyclones also picked up a victory in two sets. The set scores were 25-16, 25-27. Against the Huskies, Katie Funk served 3 of the game's 5 aces and Mallory Cooper was the leader in digs with 13 of the team's total 52 digs.

These two wins will bring the team up to a season record of 15-8. Up next, they will be on the road to take on Plainview and St. Mary's on Tuesday.
