Lady Cyclones Add Two Wins At Osmond Triangular Tuesday

The Lady Cyclones picked up a pair of wins at the Osmond Triangular on Tuesday night.

The victories over Osmond and Neligh-Oakdale evened up Clearwater-Orchard's record to 5-5.

"We played a little sloppy at times, but when we decided to hit hard, good things happened for us," Coach Shelly Mlnarik said.

The Lady Cyclones rolled over Osmond in two sets, 25-15 and 25-16. Mallory Cooper led the team with 7 kills. Click here for game stats vs. Osmond.

Neligh-Oakdale proved to be more of a match, but O-C claimed the victory, 25-15 and 25-23. 

"We play in spurts," Coach Mlnarik said. "We let Neligh take us out of our game the second set at the beginning, but the girls never gave up and they fought their way back to get the win!"

The Lady Cyclones will host a double triangular in Clearwater on Thursday with Spalding Academy, Ewing, and Niobrara/Verdigre. First up will be O-C vs. Niobrara/Verdigre at 5 p.m. Clearwater-Orchard will also play the final game vs. Spalding Academy at 8 p.m.
