Husker Coach To Speak In Clearwater This Sunday Afternoon

Ron Brown, the Nebraska running backs coach, will speak in Clearwater on Sunday, March 16.

Brown's presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at the Clearwater-Orchard School (Clearwater site). The event is sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and is open to the public.

Brown completed his third season as NU's running backs coach in 2013, and had coached tight ends three years before that. Overall, he will enter his 24th season as a Husker assistant this fall. Brown had previously worked on the NU staff for 17 seasons from 1987 to 2003.

He has authored several books on Christian character and growth. He is an outspoken advocate on many issues, including adoption, abstinence and drug and alcohol education, and race relations, according to Huskers.com.
