![]() The American Red Cross and the family of Gary Snodgrass invite Clearwater area donors to roll up a sleeve and give blood on Thursday, Feb. 19. A community-minded family man, Snodgrass was known for his strong work ethic and his giving spirit. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in January 2014, and his treatment required several blood and platelet transfusions. “By getting blood, he was able to be with us longer than expected, of which we are grateful,” said Gary’s wife of 48 years, Sherry Snodgrass. “We are eternally grateful for the donors.” Gary passed away on July 30 of last year. By donating blood in his name, you’re not only honoring Gary’s memory but also helping support up to three other patients in need.
