Cyclones Sweep Osmond As Girls Win Second Straight Game

Clearwater-Orchard picked up its second straight win on Friday as the girls topped Osmond en route to a sweep of the Tigers on the road.

The Cyclones won the girls game 60-36 and the boys won 43-36 for their 13th consecutive victory.

In the girls game, Clearwater-Orchard doubled up the Tigers in the first quarter on their way to a dominating win. Three Cyclones scored in double figures with Whitney Rittscher leading with 14 points. Kinzly Macke and Kylie Thiele added 11 and 10 points, respectively. 

Thiele pulled down seen rebounds and had two steals while Macke chipped in six boards and three assists.

In the boys game, the Cyclones had a double-digit lead after the first and continued to build. The Tigers made a run in the fourth quarter but couldn’t rally against Clearwater-Orchard

Jagger Smith and Trevor Mlnarik led the Cyclones with 14 points apiece. Andy Kerkman pulled down 13 rebounds and had four assists and two blocks. Mlnarik grabbed eight rebounds while Spencer Volden and Zach Martin each had three steals. 

The Cyclones will host West Holt on Saturday.
