Cyclones Return To Winning Ways At Their Own Triangular

The Clearwater-Orchard Cyclones returned to the win column after a brief absence Tuesday.

The Cyclones hosted Niobrara/Verdigre and Boyd County at the Clearwater-Orchard Triangular Tuesday in Clearwater, going 2-0. They downed Niobrara/Verdigre 25-16 and 25-16 and took down Boyd County, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-15.

The wins were even sweeter for the squad, as it was in front of a large crowd for parent's night.

Peyton Clifton made the most of her opportunities against Niobrara/Verdigre, recording four aces, two kills and five digs. JoCee Johnston 10 kills on her 16 attempts for the Cyclones.

Against Boyd County, Kinzly Macke stepped up both offensively and defensively, recording 10 kills and seven digs. Kylie Thiele added 10 digs of her own to help the Clearwater-Orchard defense.

The Cyclones return to action for the Niobrara/Verdigre Triangular Thursday night.
