Cyclones Hoping Large Wrestling Squad Will Lead To Success

State qualifiers: Alex Widler, Dominic Bolling, Riley Snider, Alex Olivan
2016-17 season preview: Coach Dan Roeber will lead the Cyclones on the mat for the eighth year in 2016-17.

He will have his work cut out for him after losing three of his four state qualifiers from last year’s squad.

The lone returning qualifier for the Cyclones is junior Dominic Bolling. He will be looked on to lead the team and tutor the young and inexperienced grapplers throughout the year.

The Cyclones have plenty of bodies on the roster, but they must work to fill out the weight classes with many kids falling into the middle weights. If they are able to work out the logjam at those weights, the Cyclones could be a strong team simply by having strong numbers in 2016-17 and will be truly dominant if the young guys can learn from a guy like Bolling.

​They take on Wisner-Pilger to start the season on December 1.
