Cyclone Speech Team Finishes Third At West Holt Invitational

The Clearwater-Orchard speech team missed out on second place at the West Holt Invite over the weekend by just one point, capping a tremendous showing at the 15-team event.

Abbey Kester and Hannah Rittscher were both champions in their divisions. Hanna Cronk and Pammie Maxwell finished third in inform and humorous, respectively. Celeste Lopez placed fourth in serious, as did the Radio TBS OID of Kester, Rittscher, Emily Filsinger and Whit Rittscher.

Whit Rittscher also placed fifth in entertainment. Audrey Wilhelm ended the day with fifth-place finish in persuasive and sixth in extemp. Rounding out the medalist with sixth-place finishes were Filsinger in inform, Mallory Cooper in humorous and Kinsley Cooper in serious.

Novice placers included OID team of Sierra Schroeder, Antonio Soto Cerde, Tristen Sanne, Peyton Clifton and Kylie Thiele with first-place medals.

Sean Krebs placed second in entertainment. Schroeder also medaled third in serious, and Soto Cerde placed fourth in humorous.
