Cyclone Powerlifters Earn Gold At Cornhusker State Games

Four O-C powerlifters competed in the 2014 Cornhusker State Games Powerlifting Championships held at Lincoln Christian High School on July 19. 

The four-person team consisted of Faith Woslager, Kaci Schacht, Justin Allemang and Lane Woslager. 

"This was a large meet (107 lifters) with a full line-up of extremely stiff competition from around the Midwest," Coach Jeff Shabram said. "The O-C lifters were up for the challenge, and represented our team and school very well! All four lifters won gold medals for their age/weight class! Excellent job lifters."

Girls champion were Faith Woslager (123 lb class) and Kaci Schacht (198 lb class).  Boys champions were Justin Allemang (148 lb class) and Lane Woslager (181 lb class).  Numerous personal bests were also set.

This powerlifting event was a sanctioned AAU meet with numerous state and national records set by many adult and teen lifters. 

The O-C powerlifting season will officially begin for the 2014-15 season on November 22 with the Omaha Open Powerlifting Championships at the AV Sorensen Center on 48th & Cass Street in Omaha.
