Cyclone Boys Pick Up Dominating Win; Girls Fall To Wausa

The Clearwater-Orchard Basketball teams were split in action last night on their home court.

The Cyclone boys picked up a big win over Wausa, leading the Vikings by 27 points in the first quarter. The Cyclones took the game by nearly 40 points, 78-40. 

Senior Andy Kerkman led the scoring for the Cyclones with an impressive 27 points, followed by Jagger Smith with 13 points, while Zach Martin and Tristen Sanne each put up 10 points each. Other scorers included Blake Hoke, 5, Travis Kerkman, 4, Brenden Cleveland, 3, Chris Kester, 2, Ryan Willhelm, 2, and Jacob Long, 2.

The Lady Cyclones fell in a close game with Wausa. After holding a one-point lead at the half, the Cyclones fell short in the second half, 45-34. 

Coming up next, the teams will be participating in the NVC tournament this weekend.
