Clearwater-Orchard Grad's Augustana Team To Play Duke

A former Cyclone basketball star will see his college basketball career start off on one the game's biggest stages.

Andy Kerkman, a 2016 Clearwater-Orchard graduate, will join his Augustana Vikings men's basketball team as they travel to Durham, N.C. to take on the Duke Blue Devils in an exhibition match Friday night. 

Unfortunately, due to injury, Kerkman will simply be on the sidelines for the showdown, but he hopes to be cleared for full participation before the season begins.

The game is a the latest in the Blue Devils' tradition of playing the previous season's Division II champion in a preseason exhibition match up.

Augustana men's basketball won a school record 34 games in 2015-16, finishing the year 34-2 on its way to the program's first National Championship. 

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CST. The game will be televised on the ACC Network and is also available through the Watch ESPN app.
