It was a shot Liam Odell likely won't soon forget.
After trailing for much of the game, the Cyclones stormed back in the fourth quarter to tie the game up at 43. With just under four seconds remaining, Odell launched a shot from behind the three-point arc. The shot found its home and the Cyclones pulled off their first win of the season.
The Cyclones entered the final frame trailing 40-28. As soon as the fourth quarter started, they exploded for 18 points, including Odell's game winner, while holding the Broncos to just three to take a 46-43 win.
The Cyclones got big production on the night from Jacob Long and Odell, who scored 12 and 17 points, respectively. Odell was particularly effective for the Cyclones, going five for nine from beyond the three point line, along with his game winner, and also pulling in eight rebounds. In addition, senior Travis Kerkman nearly had his second double-double in three games, finishing with nine points and 12 rebounds.
Earlier in the night, the girls continued their hot streak, topping the Broncos 41-28 for their fifth-straight win.
Kinzly Macke was fantastic on the night, connecting on 60 percent of her shots for 18 points. She also added nine rebounds. Grace Rittscher pulled down seven more rebounds and Katie Stearns pulled in six.
