Augustana Falls To Duke In A Rout In Exhibition Showdown

It was a legendary start to what is hopefully going to be a storied career for former Clearwater-Orchard star Andy Kerkman.

Kerkman, a 2016 Clearwater-Orchard graduate and the state record holder for rebounds in a career, traveled with his Augustana basketball squad to Durham, N.C. Friday night to take on Duke at the historic Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Vikings were unable to keep up with the top-ranked Blue Devils in a 98-45 loss.

Kerkman was unable to participate in the game due to an injury sustained over the summer. He was, however, able to go through warm ups with the team and take in the crowd in attendance.

He hopes to be ready to return in time for the Vikings season-opener against Southwestern Oklahoma State Friday night at the SWOSU Classic.
