Brunswick To Celebrate Q125 With 3 Full Days Of Activities

The Brunswick Community Club is proud to announce Brunswick's Q125 Celebration schedule, June 26-28, where most of the events are FREE!

The only activities with fees are the Puzzle Tournament, Road Rally, and the events at Rhonda's Bar. Remember to bring blankets and chairs for the outdoor events! 

Friday, June 26:
Festivities will kick off on Friday, June 26 at 6 p.m. with a free hotdog barbeque in the park, sponsored by Meuret Grain. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m. when the time capsule will be opened. Ice cream will be served afterwards, followed by an outdoor viewing of "Toy Story" at the ball field, sponsored by the Brunswick Library. The movie will be shown on a large screen and free popcorn will be provided. Rhonda's Bar will have live music by the Dave Merkel Band from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Saturday, June 27:
8 a.m. - "Must-Dash Through Brunswick" Fun Run/Walk. Register at the park, the day of the event, remember to wear a mustache! The length of the course will be 2.5-3 miles.
8-10 a.m. - Free donuts and juice in the Community Room
8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. - “Ready.Set.Smile!” Photo Booth – Community Room
9 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Vendor Show – Auditorium
10 a.m. - Story Hour for Kids at the library
11 a.m. - Horseshoe Tournament at Rhonda’s Bar
11 a.m.-3 p.m. - Quilt Show at the Community Church. For more information or to register to bring your quilt(s), contact Lois Olson at 582-4699. Centennial memorabilia will be on display during the quilt show.
11 a.m. - 8 p.m. - Funnel Cake Stand
Lunch Stand Served by Rhonda’s Bar
1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Kids’ Games & Activities in the park
1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. - Bingo in the Community Room
3:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. - Fire Truck Rides - Fire Hall
3:45 p.m.-5 p.m. - Puzzle tournament at the Auditorium. Teams of 2 (recommended minimum age is 12) will purchase a puzzle for $10 that they will get to keep at the end. First teams to complete the puzzle will win prizes. The puzzle is 285 pieces and will be a fun keepsake to have!

5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Free Hamburgers & Brats BBQ in the park
8 p.m. - 12 a.m. - Street Dance, featuring
“Outlaw Road” 

Sunday, June 28:
8 a.m. - 12 p.m. - “The Pancake Man” Breakfast in the Auditorium
8 a.m. - 12 p.m. -  Car Show on the lawn west of the old school
9 a.m. - Ecumenical Church Service at the Community Church
12 p.m. - Bury the Q125 time capsule in the park
1 p.m. - Grand Parade on Main Street; please line up by 12 p.m. at the Catholic Church
