Geocashing is real world treasure hunting using a GPS coordinates to find a container called a geocache hidden at a specific location. In the geocach container is a paper with the list of people that have found it previously, and small items. With over 2 million geocaches hidden all over the world it can be something you can do as you travel, or to find a part of your community you have never been to. There are just a few rules of what you can put in the geocash if you want to trade out an item. People of all ages hide and seek geocaches, so think carefully before placing an item into a cache. Explosives, ammunition, knives, drugs and alcohol should not be placed in a cache and all laws should be followed. Please do not put food or heavily scented items in a cache, because animals can find them and destroy them. For more information, visit geocaching.com. |
