  Neligh-Oakdale hosted the NVC East Band Clinic on Tuesday. Darrel Neitzke, former band director at Elkhorn Valley, and Mr. Larry Jones, retired teacher from Pope John, Madison and Wisner-Pilger and a graduate of Neligh-Oakdale, were the clinicians. One of the songs, "Conquest," was composed by Nolan Schmit, who began his teaching career in Orchard. Schools participating in the clinic were Clearwater/Orchard, Elgin Public, Pope John, Elkhorn Valley, Ewing, Neligh-Oakdale, Niobrara and Verdigre. The NVC Honor Band featured 11-12 graders and the NVC Festival Band consisted of 9-10 graders. The clinic concluded with a concert in the Neligh-Oakdale High School Gym. Miss the concert?
