County Supervisors Discuss Upstream Road Agreement

The Antelope County Board of Supervisors started their Tuesday meeting discussing the road agreement and the decommissioning plan.

Joe Abler advised the board on what he believes would be best to change, or to keep the same on the documents.

They compared Praire Breeze’s road agreement to the new upstream agreement. He said that since things pass slower with his board, there should be a 30 day time frame for the board to take action, compared to 20 days.

The Road Boss and Zoning Administrator gave their monthly reports.

Antelope County Road Boss, Casey Dittrich, got the go-ahead from the board to rent another truck. He also filled them in on the hiring of Randy Finch. Dittrich said he is excited for Finch to start in just a few weeks.

County Clerk Lisa Payne said that there is $600,000 in road funds and $200,000 in general funds. She said that we need to cut down on expenses because those funds need to last until the end of the year.

The meeting ended with a presentation from  County Treasurer Deb Branstiter and Assessor Kelly Mueller regarding the three year delinquent tax list.

The first few properties they discussed, already has been presented to county attorney Joe Abler. Although, there were different situations discussed, including properties and houses where no action was taken last year.
Abler will send out letters of foreclosures and reminders make an agreement or escrow with the county.
