ATVs, Golf Cars And More At Big Red Motorsports

It’s been an exciting year for Big Red Motorsports as the company continues to expand its offerings.

Big Red Motorsports became a Yamaha golf car dealer last year. Owner Craig Smith said there are few golf car dealers in the area. In fact, his distributor is in Scottsbluff, making Big Red Motorsports’ locations in Neligh and O’Neill popular stores for Yamaha golf cars for those in North Central and Northeast Nebraska.

“It’s went over really well,” Smith said. “Yamaha builds a really good product as far as the golf car line. We have some cool colors coming in. They’re not all here yet, but they’ll be arriving soon for people to come take a look at.”

Because convenience is so important, Big Red Motorsports will soon BEGIN offering servicing of cars at golf courses. Golf car owners won’t have to worry about loading up their car this spring — or during the season, for that matter — to service their car. Big Red Motorsports will go to them.

“If customers have golf cars at the course, we’ll be offering to service those there,” Smith said. “We’ll have information out on that very soon.”

Big Red Motorsports has long been known for its dirt products, especially ATVs and side-by-sides. Textron purchased the Arctic Cat brand in 2017, and Smith said they continue to offer quality products.

“They have some really, really good products,” Smith said. “They’ve proven themselves to have built good ones.”

Being a dealer, Smith said he’s able to keep a good line of both new and used equipment on hand at both locations. That helps Big Red Motorsports meet the needs of most budgets and varying needs of his customers. Many of the used items on both lots are local trades.

“We see some Honda four-wheelers come in on trade that normally go right back out,” Smith said. “We have a good outlet for that stuff, so whatever people are looking for, we can find that, too.”

Also key for Big Red Motorsports is the ability to service not only the products it sells but other products as well.

“We have a location in both Neligh and O’Neill with shops for service work,” Smith said. “Both have everything anybody could need.”

Big Red Motorsports has also been a Green Mountain Grill dealer for eight years, selling the wood pellet grills along with accessories.

“They make three different grill sizes,” he said. “They have a little tailgater on up to our big Jim Bowie, which is a very large grill. There’s something for everybody.”

Smith said he’s looking forward to showcasing the new machines this spring. There will be plenty of golf carts, side-by-sides and ATVs for customers to choose from at both locations.

“We have a whole new 2019 line coming, so I recommend people stopping in and taking a look,” Smith said. “Whether it’s a Yamaha golf car or a Texron off-road vehicle, stop in and see what we have to offer.”
