Eighty-three percent of Antelope County voters woke up happy with their president as Donald J. Trump carried the county and state.
As for issues on the ballot, the death penalty was repealed in Nebraska and heavily favored in the county. Seventy-five percent of Antelope County voters supported bringing back capital punishment. The Antelope County Ag Society again asked voters to allow an increase to the restricted funds base, which would allow more control over the funds. The change would not have increased taxes.
