Alt, Summers Sentenced At District Court Wednesday

Two were sentenced in criminal cases heard in Antelope County District Court on Wednesday morning.

Danielle Alt appeared for sentencing with her attorney Pat Carney after reviewing of information to revoke her probation. Alt recently pleaded guilty to a marijuana possession charge in Madison County. Antelope County Attorney Joe Abler said this violates the terms of the probation sentence she was previously given for drug charges in Antelope County. Alt pleaded guilty to the allegation that she violated her probation. Judge James Kube found that extending her probation would not teach her a lesson, and sentenced her to 90 days in Antelope County Jail with credit for 12 days previously served. Alt will have to pay no additional court costs.

Gay Lee Summers appeared for sentencing for charges stemming from a recent altercation with a neighbor. Summer was charged with 1 count of 3rd Degree Assault and 1 count Disturbing the Peace. The incident with Summers occurred before his previous sentence, and the court was aware of the additional charges when he was given probation. After seeing proof that Summers was actively seeking anger management help and had relocated to another community, Judge Kube decided to continue the previous probation sentence and charge a fine of $250 for the 3rd Degree Assault charge and $100 for the Disturbing the Peace charge. On top of that, Summers will have to pay $136 in court costs, totaling to $486.
