Jeff and Karen Doerr of Neligh are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Melissa Doerr to Logan Faller, son of Brad and Regenia Faller of Falls City, NE.

Melissa is the granddaughter of Eugene and Joy Kruse of Lincoln, NE; Hedy Neumann-Doerr of Kearney, NE; and the late LaVern Doerr of Hershey, NE. Logan is the grandson of Myrna and the late Richard Russ of Hiawatha, KS and Donna and Cecil Faller of Falls City, NE.

Melissa is a 2012 graduate of Neligh-Oakdale High School and a 2016 graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology as well as Pre-health with emphasis in Occupational Therapy. She went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Nebraska Methodist College. She is currently employed at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln as a specialist on the spinal cord injury team.

Logan is a 2011 graduate of Falls City High School and a 2015 graduate of Midland University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fitness and Sports Management. He then received a Master’s of Arts in Business with a specialization in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration. He is currently employed at Midland University as a Student Success Advisor for multiple athletic programs.

The wedding is scheduled for August 10th, 2019 at First Plymouth Church in Lincoln, NE. The couple currently lives in Lincoln, NE with their dog, Gunner.

Cassie Snodgrass of Royal and Clint Sprague of Madison are happy to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding on July 20, 2019, at the Madison County Fairgrounds.

Parents of the couple are the late W. Stacy Snodgrass, Dan and Rochelle McElhaney and Terry and Jeni Sprague.

Clint has been employed at Tyson Foods in Madison for 10 years. Cassie is employed as a massage therapist located in Norfolk and in Columbus.

The couple met through a mutual friend and the rest is history.

Anyone that knows the lovely couple are more than welcome to come join them on our special day.

The couple is to be married on August 4 in Stapleton, NE at St. John’s Catholic Church with a reception following.

Paige is the daughter of Tony and Carla Blecher of Clearwater, Ne. She graduated from Neligh-Oakdale High School in 2014 and currently works for Behavioral Health at the Sunrise Place in Norfolk, Ne.

Colton is the son of Ron Schroeder of Tekamah, Ne and Laurie and Gary Jackson of Norfolk, Ne. He graduated from Tekamah-Hermann High school in 2010. He currently works at Norfolk Iron and Metal in Norfolk, Ne.

The couple is to be married on July 21, 2018, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater with the reception to follow at the Clearwater Legion.

Mackenzie is the daughter of Mark and Cathy Cooper of Orchard, NE. She is a 2013 graduate of Clearwater-Orchard Public Schools and a 2017 graduate of Doane University. Mackenzie obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary and special education, and she is currently employed by Elgin Public Schools as a first grade teacher.

Kenny is the son of Jay and Tina Snider of Clearwater, NE, and Doug McClellan and Cressi McClellan of O’Neill, NE. He is also a 2013 graduate of Clearwater-Orchard Public Schools and a 2017 graduate of Northeast Community College. Kenny obtained Associate’s Degrees in Diversified Agriculture and Mechanized Agriculture, and he is currently employed at Automated Dairy Specialists in Clearwater.

The couple is to be married on June 9, 2018, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Orchard with a reception to follow at the O’Neill Community Center.

Katie is the 2014 graduate of Clearwater/Orchard High School, and is currently studying Early Childhood Education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Mr. Vakoc is the grandson of Merle and Mary Boelter of Verdigre, NE and Ken and Joyce Vakoc of Verdigre, NE. He is at 2013 graduate of Verdigre High School and a 2015 graduate of Central Community College - Hastings. He received a degree in Advanced Manufacturing and Design, and is employed by Futek in Alda, NE.

An October 7th wedding is planned in Bazile Mills at Christ Lutheran Church with a reception following at the ZCBJ Hall in Verdigre, NE.

Parents of the couple are Walt and Rosemary Patras of Tilden and Gary and Sandy Labenz of Newman Grove.

Anne is a 2006 graduate of Elkhorn Valley School and earned her Bachelor of Nursing at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska. She is employed at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh.

Alex is a 2007 graduate from Newman Grove School and earned a Bachelor degree in agronomy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is an agronomist for Frontier Cooperative and also farms with his family.

Callie is a graduate of Newman Grove High School and Wayne State College with a degree in special education. She is employed as a teacher at Boone Central Middle School in Petersburg. A July 29th wedding at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin is being planned. The couple resides in Elgin.

Sheila recently graduated from Nebraska Methodist College with her MSN and is currently employed at Northeast Community College as a nursing instructor and works PRN at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. Keith graduated from Northeast Community College and is employed at Sanne Service in Clearwater as a mechanic. A June 10th wedding at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Raeville is being planned. The couple will reside south of Tilden following their wedding.
