Cars In Ditches, Expect Whiteout Conditions

The highways across Northeast Nebraska remain completely snow covered this morning thanks to about 6 inches of snow that fell overnight and 35 mph wind gusts. Several cars are in the ditches along the highways in Antelope County.

The National Weather Services is still predicting 6-10 inches of total snow accumulation for Antelope County and northerly winds 20-30 mph on Friday, gusting to 35 mph. This will cause considerable blowing and drifting.

Impacts include reduced visibilities with near whiteout conditions at times that will make travel nearly impossible.
