Warm fall weather and a strong group of runners resulted in three broken records at the Neligh-Oakdale Cross Country Invitational on Monday. Rick Eickholt, Neligh-Oakdale coach and meet organizer, said course records were broken in the high school girls and boys races as well as the junior high girls race. The meet was held at the Antelope Country Club. Elkhorn Valley’s Becca Fleetwood just missed out on a medal, coming in 16th place with a time of 23:50. In the boys race, Justin Bellar picked up a medal in 13th place with a time of 18:30. Other Falcon finishers were Alex Martinez, 27th, 20:10; David Short, 31st, 20:38; Travis Fleetwood, 41st, 22:24 and Dalton Smutney, 43rd, 22:33. In the junior high competition, two EV runners earned medals. Allison Stineman came in 3rd with a time of 9:12 and Kimberly Frey was 7th with a 9:30.
