In observance of National Assisted Living Week, September 7-13, Prairie View Assisted Living of Tilden is hosting events to bring together residents, families, employees and the surrounding community to celebrate the “Magic of Music.” “Music provide comfort, joy and enhances the lives of residents,” said Stephanie Clifton, Administrator of Prairie View Assisted Living. “This celebration recognizes the bonds build between residents and the assisted living professionals who are committed to providing residents with person-centered care and services.” The “Magic of Music” celebrates the role music plays in the daily lives of assisted living residents. Clifton said the theme also celebrates the bonds built between residents and their families, friends, staff, and volunteers that make the assisted living community a home for them. Some of the week’s special events include: Thursday, September 11: 4:30 p.m. - Resident, Staff & Family Hay Rack Ride and Soup Supper Friday, September 12: 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. - Open House - John Peterson will provide entertainment at 3 p.m. and refreshments will be served. National Assisted Living Week is an annual event sponsored by the National Center for Assisted Living, Washington D.C. and Nebraska Assisted Living Association.
