After taking their first loss of the season over the weekend, Elgin Public/Pope John's girls came back with a vengeance on Monday to head into break strong.
The Wolfpack dominated Creighton in a 60-26 victory. They held the Bulldogs to just seven points in the first half, racking up 35 points of their own.
The high-powered Wolfpack attack was led by Wemhoff, who finished with a team-high 15 points to go with six steals. Behnk posted a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds and Meis added 15 points of her own.
Behnk imposed her will on the Bulldogs defensively, adding five blocks on the night.
The boys weren't able to duplicate the success of their schoolmates, falling to Creighton 60-35. The Wolfpack managed just 18 points in the first half and ultimately shooting just 33 percent for the game.
Kyle Schumacher recorded the only double-figure night for EPPJ, posting 10 points, including going 2-for-5 from deep. Conor Ramold added eight points and Hunter Reestman, Ashton Evans and Adam Dreger each posted five points.
