Elgin Public/Pope John's girls just keep winning.
The Wolfpack earned their 11th win of the year on Tuesday when they took down Fullerton, 60-45. EPPJ did all its scoring in just three quarters, calling off the dogs in the fourth after holding a 60-30 lead after the first three frames.
Calli Krebs continued to shine for the Wolfpack, scoring a game-high 21 points, shooting 37.5 percent, including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc. Allyson Wemhoff added 14 points, Paige Meis had nine and Lydia Behnk scored eight while pulling in 10 rebounds.
The boys weren't able to pull off the sweep, trailing the Warriors throughout in a 69-59 loss. They trailed Fullerton 16-14 after one quarter of play before the Warriors took the second quarter 17-9 to go up by 10 and holding on in the second half for the win.
In his first action of the season, Ashton Krebs gave the Wolfpack plenty of production with a team-high 16 points, going 8-of-9 from the floor. Kyle Schumacher added 11 points while Hunter Reestman and Conor Ramold added 10, each. Ashton Evans put down eight rebounds while tying for the team-high in rebounds with Reestman, pulling in six.
