Jane Fink of Orchard has been recognized for 30 years of employment at the League of Human Dignity.
Jane was hired on Jan. 5, 1987, as an independent living advisor (ILA) in the League’s Norfolk center. She became independent living coordinator, supervising a staff of three ILAs, in 2009.
The League of Human Dignity is a nonprofit organization that promotes independent living for people with disabilities, in the community rather than in nursing homes. To that end, the League provides services, including independent living skills training, to help people become and remain independent.
In the Norfolk office, Jane also works with the League’s Youth Transition program, Living Well with a Disability classes, as well as fundraising and marketing.
League employees are presented with length-of-service awards after their first five years of employment and each five years thereafter.
