Nearly 70 youth enjoyed a morning of fishing on Monday during the annual Youth Fishing Tournament at Penn Lake.
Monday was a repeat of last year as all of the winners in each age group were the same. Also
for the second straight year, Isabelle Pitzer was the overall winner and in the 6-10 age group. Pitzer, 9 of Oakdale, caught 3 pounds, 7 ounces of fish.
Trey Svatos of Neligh won the 11-13 age group with 2 pounds, 8 ounces of fish while Hunter Sonnenfelt of Battle Creek won the 0-5 with 2 pounds, 6 ounces.

From capturing a live toad to bringing in a dryer, the Old Mill Days annual scavenger hunt gave participants just 60 minutes to find some odd items again this year.
What were some of the other 50 items? A swimming pool, 15 wedding koozies, We Support Neligh sign, pink Solo cup, saddle, welcome mat, red bike, receipt for $1.44, Not Too Small To Have It All t-shirt and lots of selfies around Neligh.
Team "Beat The Green" took home the top prize while Pitzer's Pirates of the Antelope County News was runner-up. Most of the prize money given away at the event was donated back to the Neligh Young Men's Club.

With more than 30 participants at the annual Old Mill Days Trap Shooting Contest on Saturday, organizer Boyd Pedersen said Paul Risperdal won the top prize of $160.
Pedersen was runner-up, claiming $80.
