A Battle Creek couple was transported to the hospital following a motorcycle-pickup collision in Neligh on Saturday afternoon.
According to Neligh Police Officer Phil Hart, Rodney and Nancy Phillips were transported to Antelope Memorial Hospital following the accident, which occurred around 3:35 p.m. in front of Casey's General Store on Highway 275.
Hart said Rodney Phillips was driving a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife, Nancy, as a passenger. They had been traveling south on Highway 14 and just turned east onto Highway 275 when they struck the side of a pickup that was turning into Casey's.
Brandon Peitzmeier of Neligh - driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado - was westbound on Highway 275 when he attempted to turn into Casey's in front of Phillips, who then struck the right side of Peitzmeier's pickup, Hart said.
"There were some cars in Casey's, and Brandon was watching them. He continued into Casey's, and the motorcycle struck him on the right side," Hart said.
Hart said Peitzmeier was uninjured in the accident while both Rodney and Nancy Phillips, who were wearing helmets, were transported by Neligh Rescue.
"I don't know the extent of their injuries. Bumps and bruises and road rash," Hart said.
Also responding were the Neligh Police, Antelope County Sheriff's Department, Neligh Fire Department and Neligh-Oakdale Jaws of Life.
