Members of the Ponca Tribe took a youth group to visit the grave of White Buffalo Girl in Neligh, Nebraska.
The infant daughter of Chief Black Elk died during the 1877 removal of the Ponca Indians from the Niobrara River to the Indian Territory in Oklahoma. Since then, the people of Neligh have maintained and cared for the gravesite.
