A two vehicle-collision Thursday morning northeast of Neligh sent two people to the hospital.
Antelope County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the accident at 8:52 a.m. According to officials, a 2013 Chevy Trailblazer failed to yield the right of way and struck a 1998 Chevy pickup.
The accident occurred at the intersection of 852nd Road and 526th Ave, three miles north and two miles east of Neligh.
Maxwell Knust, 17, of Neligh was the driver of the Chevy pickup. The Trailblazer was driven by 25-year-old Joshua Mead of Kearney, which was owned by Olsson Associates.
Both were transported to Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh and were treated and released. Mead was cited for failing to yield, and both vehicles were transported to Johnny Dodge.
Neligh-Oakdale Jaws of Life, Neligh Rescue and Neligh Fire Department responded to the scene of the accident. The Antelope County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
